Brading - River Yar.jpg - FOR SALE- The River Yar on the Isle of Wight, has it's source in St. Catherine's Down close to the southern point of the island. It flows across the rocks on the eastern side of the island before finding its way through the gap in the central chalk ridge of the Island at Yarbridge at Brading. It flows out into Bembridge Harbour. The river was once navigable as far as Brading, but is now little more than a stream. The Yar is one of two rivers on the Isle of Wight with the same name. It is referred to as the Eastern Yar if it is necessary to distinguish between them.
